TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

Developing and promoting creative drama as both an educational methodology and a discipline in theatre, education, and social life is one of the key components of learner-centered education. Focusing on the relationship between education, play, and theatre while helping learners develop creative play and collaboration skills enables educators to create more student-centered learning environments. Designed to support educators in developing 21st-century teaching competencies, our Creative Drama in ELT and Gamification program is a practical teacher training workshop that combines creative drama techniques with gamification strategies.

Participants will learn how to effectively integrate creative drama and gamification tools into their teaching while developing practical activities and lesson plans that can be directly adapted to their own educational settings.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The program is designed for primary, middle, and high school teachers; English and Turkish language teachers; language instructors; teacher trainers; and all education professionals who wish to create more engaging and effective learning experiences.

COURSE CONTENT

The following topics will be explored through practical workshops:

Creative Drama

This module introduces the fundamental concepts of creative drama, its educational applications, and its contribution to the learning process. Participants will experience experiential learning through role-playing, improvisation, dramatization, and group dynamics activities. The main topics include:

✅ What is creative drama and how is it used in education?

✅ What is the relationship between play and creative drama?

✅ What are the stages of the creative drama process?

✅ What are the main creative drama techniques?

✅ What is storytelling and why is it important?

✅ How can lesson plans be designed using creative drama?

Practical Design Workshops

Throughout the program, participants will design educational activities, lesson plans, and classroom scenarios by combining creative drama and gamification techniques. The workshops aim to help participants successfully transfer these methods into authentic educational environments.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Duration: The program consists of a total of 12 instructional hours.

Format: Face-to-face

Content: Practical workshops, group activities, case studies, and instructional design projects
